Dear readers of A&M,
First, thank you for your time reading my daily posts.
I started A&M posts in the summer of 1991 on Prodigy pet board to make friends with other Primate people and learn from them about monkeys and such seeing as we had a young two year old spot nose guenon named Trouble. We had Trouble for about a year before I started Apes and Monkeys (A&M). I had never heard of organizations such as Simian Society of America, International Primate Protection League, The Gorilla Foundation, Center for Orangutan & Chimpanzee Conservation, Monkey Jungle, Monkey Matters, Frisky's and such.
I continue posting daily. I don't always agree with what is written that I post and most times like with the last true story about the Gibbon I don't know the out come until just before you do since I am reading what I post the day I post it because of time constrictions.
I try to refrain from posting from the Simian, though I use to, because if you have a monkey you should be a member and getting their publication. I hope to see you at their convention in Oklahoma City this September.
One last thing even though I may not personally agree with other views on primates and primate care giving my feelings are that we should not put our heads in the sand and ignore them and that's why I sometimes post opposing views.
