Comments On: Wise's Primate Picnic-May 4th

The WISE MONKEYS has hosted a Primate Picnic for the past seven years and will do so again this year. The Primate Picnic is a little party for all our friends and their monks. It is a one day event where all our friends bring their monkeys and visit with many others, to share the day, exchange information, show off, enjoy some good food and drink, swim in the pool, or just have a great time. The Party starts @ NOON (12)

In the past we have had over 100 people and their monks attend. Many are from the state of Florida, but alot of people have come from all over the US. We have had all kinds of critters attend, from Chimps and Orangs. to Capuchins and Gibbons, Tamrins and squirrels. Not to mention many other critters I don't know the names of, hehehe. We ask all who attend to try and bring your babies. This helps make the picnic better for everyone. But if you can't bring 'em, that's OK too.

This year we will hold the picnic on MAY 4th, that's a sunday! We ask all who come to bring a covered dish for others to enjoy, (Karen, leave your "ROAD KILL" specials at home PLEASE) hahahaha, I kill me! We also ask that you bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, as the grass can get hard on the old tush! The Wise Monkeys will Bar-B-Qing and supplying the beer and soda, if you would like anything eles BYOB
please.Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the day with us all. The pool will be nice this year, all you ladies are invited to bring your "T-backs" and take a dip, COBY will love it, ME TOO, hahahaha.

We have room for Motor Homes, Tents or sleeping bags. But if you wish, below we have a list of local Motels we've checked out. They all tell us that if the rates change, they will go DOWN, (hahaha I'll believe that when I see it), but as of now, the posted rates are good for May 4th.

To get here:
Take I-75 to exit #59 [State Road 52], (don't get exit # and road # mixed up!!), exit WEST on SR. 52. Go approx. 18 miles to the traffic light @ MOON LAKE ROAD, [there's a Circle K conv. store on the southwest corner], turn left on MOON LAKE ROAD. Go approx. 3 miles to the next traffic light. That is BANBURY ROAD, turn left, [there's
a BP Gas Station and conv. store on the southeast corner]. Once on BANBURY, go approx. 1 mile till it dead ends @ LAKE AVE.. Turn left on LAKE AVE., go approx. 1 mile to, CATAlONA ROAD, turn left, go to the second house on the right, AND YOUR THERE!!!!

I think that Tim wants everyone to RSVP so that he will know how many pot bellied pigs to buy at the auction to Bar-B-Que for the picnic. He and Karen have been discussing recipes....ewwwwwwwww!!!!!!! From Karens favorite cookbook The RoadKill handbook... hee hee

I plan on going to the picnic and having a great time....I am going to get a room and stay for a few days.... and visit Bush Gardens and some other places I have not been in a few years.... That is if I can con someone into gibbon sitting while I am there....

One problem......only 3 have RSVP'ed, so please let us know if
you are planning to come to the picnic...... that way we can
have enough ROAD KILL specials for everyone....hehehehehe

that, there will be many primates attending and nobody needs a trip
to the hospital. So Please consider your decision to bring your
small children.. But please....... all are welcome.... and attend
