I have really wanted a monkey ever since I saw the Ace Ventura movies and his
capuchin monkey,Spike. I think monkeys are the most lovable animals ever. No
matter what the other people wrote. And I belive that I would be a very good and
responsible monkey mother.I would devote all of my free time to this monkey. I would
do anything and everything to take care of the monkey and make it feel at home as
much as possible. You can even ask my parents. I have begged and pleaded to
them to let me have a monkey. But they keep making up excuses. ''Oh Ashley,you
are to young to know anything about responsibility. Quit fancing yourself.'' They say
the same thing everytime I bring it up. I hate it.I dare them to give me the top ten
reasons why I would not be able to take care of a living creature. So,they can say
what ever they want,but I will still always want one.

I have seen your post and I sure understand your love for monkeys.

Currently, we house and care for well over 50 monkeys of all breeds
and ages. So I do understand just how you might feel.

The one thing that concerns me and I'm sure also concerns your
mom and dad is a statement you made in your post.....

"I would devote all my free time to this monkey"

Ashley, careing for a primate is a FULL time job. It is just
like taking care of your brother or sister. And I'm sure
you know you can't put them into a cage! So think about it.

Spend your time learning about non-human primates. Then as
you get older and you can better see the needs of a monkey
and the time required to insure the proper care, as I know
you want to do the best job possible.

Once, i hired a monkey to take notes for me in class. I sat there with my mind a complete blank while the monkey scribbled on little pieces of paper. At the end of the week, my teacher asked me to write a paper on my notes. My paper said "Hi, my name is Bingo, I like to climb on things, can I have a bananna? Eek, eek." I got an F. When i told my mom about it she said, "I thought i told you never trust a monkey" THE END

I don't think anyone who hasn't had a infant or toddler of their own (complete responsibility for) should even consider themselves capable of having a monkey. There are so many people who do have kids and abuse them or abandon them, and a monkey is far more responsibility and work.

Im leona and i really really want a monkey and have ever since i can remember! Now im not saying that i am the Monkey expert of the world but i have done a lot of research on monkeys ( capuchins mostly) and i know i could be capable of rasing and caring for a monkey. So to get to my point; Im justa regular person im not rich or famous but i love monkes and really want one , so i was wondering how you could get one?

i luv monkeys, they r kewl. i want to get 1 but i know that they r a responcibility, so when i get a new place i will devote all or most of the garden to the monkey, an make sure if is ok inthe house. MONKEYS!
