Simain Society of America	Primate Care Handbook Monkey Matters Magazine

THE SIMIAN SOCIETY OF AMERICA

The Simian Society was formed to improve the lives of captive primates through education of their owners and the public. As well as the national chapter, there are many local chapters located throughout the U.S. and there may be one in your area!! Once you join you will recieve "The Simian," which is their monthly newsletter, a roster of all of the national members, and a membership card. To join, put all of the following information on a sheet of paper and mail it to the follwing address:

1) Name, address, and phone number
2) List of the primate species in your care (species, year of birth, sex, name)
3) Which of the following may they list in the SSA Membership Roster: Name, Address, Telephone, and Primates in Your Care

Then send $20 for a family/individual or $15 for seniors (add $3 Canadian, $5 Foreign) for your annual membership fee in the form of a check or money order to:

PRIMATE CARE HANDBOOK

The Simian Society has published this handbook and it contains over 300 pages of information such as housing, health, nutrition, environmental enrichment, and more. If you are considering a primate companion, or are looking for a good overview of the proper care of captive primates, I HIGHLY recommend this book.

The SSA is now taking orders for the Second Edition of The Primate Care Handbook. The cost is $35, which includes postage and handling. Canadian orders add $4 shipping and handling. All other Foreign orders add $8 shipping and handling. PLEASE ALLOW 4 TO 6 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY.

MONKEY MATTERS MAGAZIINE

A wonderful, fun magazine devoted to pet monkeys!! It is full of fun stories and great pictures! An educational must for any primate owner! The charge is $24 for a one year subscription (bi-monthly issues) or $46 for a two year subscription. Foreign postage is an extra $6. They will send a copy to review if you ask.
